Merlin celebrated his first birthday by finishing his CH, with Specialty major wins and a third place win in his quality packed 9-12m AOAC class at the 2024 ASSA National Specialty. Remarkably, Merlin then celebrated his second birthday by finishing his GCH! He certainly knows how to throw a party!

Merlin has an extraordinary legacy pedigree with multiple ROM awarded dogs. Merlin’s best feature is his magnificent front assembly, with prominent prosternum and ideal upper arm length. He is especially striking in profile, and is beautifully proportioned, with short back, well sprung ribs, correct leg length, and a perfectly level topline. He carries a huge coat and extravagant ruff with correct texture, and he stays continuously in coat. Merlin has a masculine headpiece which features parallel planes, flat topskull, and an exquisite stop. He has very dark brown (almost black) almond eyes.

Merlin brings a rare combination of sound structure, cheerful temperament, and phenomenal drive with eagerness to work. His superpower is his performance potential in the agility ring, demonstrating consistent speed and clean execution. Merlin is a sociable, energetic, and athletic dog who adores adventures with his people, but has a reliable off-switch.

Merlin is co-owned with Cate Cox in Louisville, Kentucky. While agility is his current focus, Merlin also excels in (and loves!) frisbee and trick training (canine freestyle). We hope to show him in AKC Rally soon. Merlin is an incredibly versatile dog, with a great work ethic for whatever is asked of him.
